As Diana is going back to college (at least when the KULeuven permits her ), she stops working at T-Systems. This means we have to give back the super cool Alfa Romeo leasing car we’re currently driving around in. 🙁

As we kind of need a car or at least got so accustomed to having one, we set off on a course to find the right car for us. Which isn’t that easy, considering the length of my legs which disqualify a lot of the cheaper and smaller cars available on the market… after a few weeks of search we found a nice Alfa Romeo (yes, we fell in love with those) 156 1.8i Twinspark. Hopefully it passes the Touring car-test (only then we’ll buy it) which is scheduled for friday. I’ll post some pics when we got it ! 😉 

Just finished watching Hoodwinked, it really is a great movie 🙂 Perhaps the graphics weren’t the best in the world, but they were still quite cool, and the story and the jokes were quite funny, with lots of references to other movies 🙂

Sidenote: The Omen, which we went to see on sunday, wasn’t all that great actually. 

As usual, Belgium already lost in Eurovision Song contest preselections. Good job, Kate! (Although I must say I can’t understand how Turkey was any better).I only saw the Turkey blonde, the Shakira imitation after that, and Lordi (thought those were pretty good, although I wouldn’t call it "hard" rock). But ohwell. 😛

Seems the comment/guestbook spammers have rediscovered my blog since I upgraded to WordPress (they thought I was interesting enough to create a custom formfiller when this blog was still running self-written software, but now, they can use their standard wordpress bombers, yippie). Fortunately, I was never bothered even with a request to moderate, thanks to Akismet. Recommended!

Yesterday I watched the first (and only, it seems) 6 episodes of The IT Crowd, about the IT department of a Big Company. Some of the things are incredibly realistic for IT people 😉 The guy sitting in his "RTFM" T-shirt, standard question "Did you try turning it off and on again" followed by "Are you sure it’s plugged in?", etc… Unfortunately the show has been canceled, but I thought the recorded episodes.

You can watch the eps online but they’re also on mininova . You didn’t hear that from me though 😉

I converted my OpenWrt installation on my WL-HDD to boot from harddisk, as 4M flash isn’t a lot if you want to make a print/scan/webcam server out of the little thing…

Update: Oh, eck, wait , a few minutes after this post the harddisk made a loud click and everything started giving bus errors. Now it doesn’t boot anymore. :'(

Went to the “vakantiesalon” today, at Brussels Expo. Arrived there at 15:50, saw it all at 16:50, back home at 18:05 (!). Bad weather, snow, traffic jams, and lots of unnecessary-fog-light people on the road 😉

The vakantiesalon is quite small compared to the motorshow we went to last time, with one of the three parts totally dedicated to France (which we weren’t interested in at all); so that’s why it didn’t take very long to see everything else.

What struck me is that many people weren’t interested in selling anything at all, possibly cause they’d been there for too long already). For example, there were a few interested people waiting at a desk, but the woman behind it was simply sitting there reading some book, paying no attention to the visitors at all. Customer service, sure.

A band in the Irish pavillion playing Scotland Brave, that was very odd, too. I must be missing something 😉

WordPress installation testing beep beep beeeeeeeeeep.

I’m in the process of converting my weblog to WordPress to be able to spend more time on blogging instead of developing software for it 😉 I had so many things to post about but never got around to them…

Older posts may look a bit funny html or ubb-tagwise, cause my own thingy used [b]ubb[/b] tags while wordpress uses html… Expect a post soon to get you up to speed on what I’ve done and am doing currently 😉
