Substitute 00:12:D1:6E:9D:47 with your phone’s mac address (see hcitool scan)

Now running "/root/bin/umts.sh" should do the trick!

While upgrading my Ubuntu from 7.04 to 7.10 to 8.04 I encountered some errors starting up Konqueror or opening a file chooser dialog. The popup would read "No MIME types installed", and there would be no files listed. Autocompletion on the input box would work though…

After looking around, blaming a KDE version upgrade, or configuration problems, or … I found that the /var filesystem had been full at one point in time, and while there was space now, something got corrupted.

Cleaning out /var/tmp/kdecache-<username> should solve the problem for you if you have it too. (No need to re-login, I think) 

Why is it that when I surf to www.benl.ebay.be, I get redirected to www.befr.ebay.be ? I explicitly state the language, yet ebay decides I speak French. It helpfully offers me a link to get it in Dutch though, which goes to that URL exactly.

When I’m not logged in to Facebook, it also greets me in French.

Above "problems" mostly occur from the Mobistar IP space at work though, not that much from home… Especially the ebay one is pretty irritating, these days I just surf it in French because I’m tired of correcting it every time 😐 

We moved, too. 2.5 months ago now, but as this blog was running a bit behind…

We’re now in a house (with a garage we can actually get the car in!), 3 bedrooms, etc etc. It’s way bigger than our old appartment, yet it seems we’ve pretty much used up the available space again.. We’re almost not surrounded by cardboard boxes anymore though… 🙂

Whew, haven’t blogged in a while. The order is now fucked up but that’s all due to WordPress as I’m now retyping posts done before.

So, it’s been a while… as previously mentioned little kitten Zoe was going to join our family once we moved, she was a bit sick so she had to be taken care of, and we hadn’t seen her yet. We were almost going to pick her up when we heard she had a stroke and had to be put down…

A few weeks back I bought GH3 for Wii on ebay incl Guitar. Hadn’t actually played it before but only heard good stuff on IRC, so there I went. Played it that evening, and umm.. got quite addicted, once I touch the guitar I’m usually not letting go until at least 90 minutes later… Currently finished easy and medium levels, almost done on hard. Woah. Gets quite hard indeed.. I’ll probably be buying the Aerosmith version a little later, then the next one (featuring a drumset controller?!), and in the meanwhile try to get Frets on Fire working on the MythTV media center with the Wii Guitar

Now I’ll have to miss it for a week soon, due to bugs in the game … 🙁
